What an incredibly written story! These two books deal with addictions. Lies, alcohol, sex, and drugs.
Book 1
Compulsive
We meet Gray as she tries to come to terms with the tragedy that struck when she was a child.
Gray tries to heal the hurt with her addictions. The friend that she has leaned on, Nathan, for so many years has his own demons and brings Gray down instead of supporting her. When Gray is made to seek help or lose her job, she turns to Dr. Daniel Harrison.
Daniel has an immediate attraction for Gray, but ethics forbid him to act on it. Daniel is dealing with his own tragedy of losing his niece to cancer, but he is determined to help Gray fight her demons.
Book 2
Liar
We find Gray, who thinks that she now has a handle on her emotions and addictions, takes a downward spiral when she learns the secrets that her family has kept from her. Will Daniel be able to help her or will he lose her forever?
These books may be fiction, but addictions affect millions of families every day. Lia Fairchild has done a marvelous job of bringing us this story. I was on the edge of my seat and went from book one, right into book two. This story will take you on and emotional rollercoaster, you will need a box of tissue.
